Microsoft to Offer Office Software Subscriptions

Microsoft has come up with another brilliant idea (saying this with sarcasm). They are letting you pay $70.00 a year for a subscription to their office suite. Wow, I get to give them money every year. Who knows what kind of crap they are going to put out next. Just look at Vista. I remeber reading where one of the top dogs at microsoft said Vista is a work in progress. Or something like that. So now we are stuck with it.

My Opinion. Here is what Microsoft needs to do.

Bottom line: People can't afford to pay these outrageous prices for software. They need to give Micosoft Office Student Version to students and teachers for free. I guarantee you every one of them will have a copy of it on their computer. Students will then become accustomed to using their software. The students, the future leaders, will request microsoft's products to the compnay they are working for. Since most companies can afford it, they will purchase the product.

There you have it.
